Why Shift Space Studios?

Shift Space was born for the people who carry everything—and rarely get carried.

I’m a counselor-in-training, a seasoned nonprofit educator, and a creative strategist invested in the emotional lives of those doing care work, social good, and survival in systems never designed for us. I know what burnout feels like. I know what it means to keep showing up while unraveling inside.

With over a decade of experience guiding youth, leading community programs, and advocating at the intersection of race, gender, and mental health, I’ve become fluent in something not always taught: how to hold space without losing yourself in the shift.
Whether that’s shifting roles, identities, abilities, or entire life phases—

Shift Space is my response to the ache.
The ache of the always-available. The never-off-the-clock.
The ones doing shift work—inside and out.

Let’s do the shift work.

What Shift Space Offers

Shift Space is a care-centered practice that provides:

  • Short-term coaching for people in or facing transition(s)
  • Group wellness sessions for those balancing purpose with personal growth
  • Consulting & emotional support for mission-driven orgs, teams, and productions

This is care that honors context.
This is softness within structure.
This is where the helpers and hustlers get helped.
This is where stories—and their tellers—get held and held accountable.

Whatever you’re shifting into, I hold space for it. Let’s do the work.

About Me

Founder of Shift Space Studios. Therapist-in-training. Cultural strategist. Softness evangelist.

I once described myself as a young-ish woman trying her hand at adulting—succeeding in some places, sprinting from others. That still tracks. But now I’m not just running—I’m rooting, rising, and reshaping how care looks for people like me: Black, femme, neurospicy, curious, tired, and still determined to live the heck out of this life.

My background lives in story—journalism, campus radio, education, digital media, nonprofit leadership. That storytelling evolved into something deeper: helping people, especially BIPOC and femmes, reshape and reclaim their own narratives through therapy, coaching, and culture work. Through group facilitation, short-term coaching, and soul-rooted consulting, I offer space for restoration, clarity, and change.

This next chapter? It’s about being more deliberate. About choosing softness, depth, and full-bodied truth. It’s about healing without erasing.

The Blog

A living archive of becoming.

My blog began as a travel diary and cultural journal. Now it moves with me—into essays on identity, rest, grief, sensuality, joy, and the mess of healing. It’s one of the spaces where I’m most reflective and most rebellious. There’s room here for tenderness and rigor. There’s room here for you.
